Rapat Corporation is a manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment based in Hawley, MN and provides engineered solutions for industrial and agricultural needs.
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to work closely with all internal departments as well as customers
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

2+ years of related experience

Must be efficient with 2D, 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred)

Strong understanding of: mechanical components, structural steels, manufacturing procedures and industrial construction methods

Ability to work from schematics, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required as well as problem solving and computer skills

Experience in one or more of the following: millwrights, mechanics, electric motors, electric controls, mechanical engineering, conveying experience
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Oversee sold projects and act as the company liaison between the Customer and internal departments
- Work closely with QC, Engineering and Production to resolve any nonconformance issues
- Provide Production and Shipping schedules to the customer
- Provide installation guidance to the customer
- Field incoming customer service calls and determine corrective action as needed
- Travel to job sites for construction meetings, installation inspections & troubleshooting
- Prepare custom equipment manuals and provide product training
- Implement design changes or improvements
- Prepare reports and forms
- Complete trip reports and service call follow-up reports
- Maintain technical and product knowledge on all Rapat equipment and purchased components
Position is full time. Primary hours are 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with OT available. Travel required.
